Officials from the Nassau County Police Department reported a stolen package from a Mineola residence on Dec. 30.

Detectives said a resident who rents an apartment above an Old Country Road storefront was notified that a package was delivered to his address via email.  The resident, whose name was not disclosed in the report, never received the package, according to detectives.

The resident then reviewed surveillance footage from the building which showed an unknown man figure wearing a dark-colored jacket, red pants, a hooded sweatshirt, black and white sneakers, and a red baseball hat entering the building lobby and proceeded to take the resident’s package around 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 30, officials said.

The unidentified man was accompanied by an unidentified female also wearing a dark-colored jacket along with red leggings and red sneakers, the footage showed.

Efforts to reach law enforcement officials with an update on the incident and the unidentified male and female subjects were unavailing.

Detectives request anyone with information surrounding the incident to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, where all callers will remain anonymous.
