Information regarding the election for two trustee sports on the Port Washington School District Board of Education and dates surrounding the budget hearing and adoption was incorrect in previous articles of the Port Washington Times.

In an article in the May 8 issue of the Port Washington Times, it was stated that the board held a “budget meeting” on May 5. By law, there must be a budget hearing no more than 14 days or less than 7 days prior to the budget vote. This meeting will take place on May 26 at 8 p.m. via live stream.

An article in the May 15 issue of the Port Washington Times stated that current trustee David Kerpen was running to retain his seat on the board, when he is not, according to the school district’s Assistant Superintendent of Business, Mary Callahan.  The article also omitted the name of Christina Nadolne, who is challenging incumbent Rachel Gilliar, Adam Block, and Julie Epstein for two spots on the board.
