School board seats challenged in Port district

Candidates for the Port Washington school board election have been named.

Board member Rachel Gilliar is up for re-election, and Port residents Adam Block, Julie Epstein and Christine Nadolne are all running.

Block is an assistant professor of health policy and management at the New York Medical College’s School of Health Science and Practice, and Epstein is a co-president of the Port Washington Parents Council who has also worked with the district’s Home School Associations.

The election will take place on Tuesday, June 9, the same date as budget votes. Ballots will be mailed to voters two weeks before the vote.

CORRECTION: An earlier edition of this story had stated that current trustee Dave Kerpen would be running for re-election. This is incorrect. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
