Readers Write: David Kirsch has right background, temperament for VGN village justice

The Island Now

Please join me in voting for David Kirsch for village justice on June 15.

For those who don’t know, Dave’s credentials as a public servant are well documented. Beyond his dedication to the local community and his synagogue, he began his legal career with over six years as a prosecutor with the Bronx District Attorney. None of these accomplishments come close to his daily dedication to his wife and daughters.

But his credentials aren’t the reason I will be voting for David. I will cast my vote for David because he has the ideal temperament, mentality, and compassion to serve as village justice.

Let me explain. Our family moved to great neck only three years ago with no immediate family in the area. Dave made sure we had every aspect of our new lives in Great Neck settled and connected as soon as we needed.

With endless patience, he explained the ins and outs of living in Great Neck, made introductions, recommended services, and generally helped us make Great Neck our home.

It was immediately evident that Dave was knowledgeable and respected as a guide and true leader. He helped us understand both how to obtain a permit and how to find the right dry cleaner.

I am confident that as a judge David will continue to make a positive difference in our home town.
