Readers Write: Dolan’s stance on new abortion law

The Island Now

I would like to applaud Cardinal Timothy Dolan for his article I have just read. Under Gov. Cuomo, New York state will have an addition to the abortion law that the cardinal calls, “ghoulish.” Well, I agree.

This addition to the law allows abortion right up to the moment of birth and a physician need not perform it.  He also mentions that the law drops all charges against an abortionist who allows an aborted baby, who somehow survives the scissors, scalpel, saline and dismemberment, to die before his eyes.

As Grand Knight of St. Anastasia Knights of Columbus council #5911 in Douglaston, I find this law to be a very egregious and nefarious and a most appalling attack on human life. As such, I praise Dolan for standing up for sanctity of human life.

Catholics need to stand up and do so in the voting booth. Remember this, “Evil thrives when good people do nothing.”
