Gary Aquilone has been a Great Neck resident for 30 years and thus has a vested interest in our community and parks.
He has worked 20 years for the park district in every one of our parks and knows very well the needs, problems and unique community that uses and enjoys each one.
He has been an employee who has always been hands-on and has always circulated in the parks talking and helping residents and not just going to meetings and using parks occasionally.
He has a financial background and is focused on improvements and economies so as not to raise taxes. He will always be looking for grants or programs from various agencies or foundations to enhance our park experiences.
He is dedicated to transparency and will encourage residents to come to meetings and participate so as to better enhance and serve the whole community.
Therefore, I believe Gary Aquilone is the best candidate for park district commissioner.
