Two vitally important health bills were killed by the state Senate yesterday.
The Comprehensive Contraception Coverage Act and the Reproductive Health Act are straight forward and essential to women’s health and equality.
Sen. Phillips said she was a supporter of women’s rights and she says she wants our families to be healthy.
I am at a loss to understand why Sen. Elaine Phillips is bending to the GOP in Albany.
Why did she walk out of room just before the critical vote? Why has she allowed the GOP majority and the big Insurance companies decide our private medical needs?
Why did Sen. Phillips not stand up as she said she would? She has abandoned us and is cowardly.
We looked to Senator Phillip for leadership. Instead, she went back on her word and promises.
