Readers Write: Critical race theory undermines equity

The Island Now

The scourge of critical race theory is permeating our educational system from college right down to kindergarten.  American parents are waking up to this perversion and beginning to take a stand against this evil, racist Ideology.

You heard me, racist ideology.  Anyone who disagrees with it is then called racist themselves. This academic discipline was formulated in the
1990s and is built on the intellectual framework of identity-based Marxism. The left adopts these destructive ideas and then expects sane, well-adjusted citizens to accept their twisted plans for America and we are saying hell no!

White children in schools are being taught that to be white is to be an oppressor and Black children are taught that they are victims of these oppressors. Racism is in the DNA of all white people and they need to experience white guilt.

In Cupertino, Calif., an elementary school forced first-graders to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities and rank themselves according to their “power and privilege.” In Springfield, Mo., a middle school forced teachers to locate themselves on an “oppression matrix,”
based on the idea that straight, white, English-speaking, Christian males are members of the oppressor class and must atone for their privilege and “covert white supremacy.”

I say baloney to this and as far as I am concerned, anyone who pushes this evil has serious emotional problems.  America is not going to take this sitting down. An elementary school in Philadelphia forced
fifth-graders to celebrate “Black communism” and simulate a Black Power rally.  This is sick stuff, my fellow Americans.

Research CRT, I have only scraped the surface.  It is toxic and seeks to separate all of us from each other instead of bringing us together.

This poison is being spoon-fed to employees of Corporate America all over the country.  It has now invaded the military and is being taught at West Point of all places. Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was interviewed recently and denied that the army is “woke.”

Why is the military brainwashing our troops with the openly racist ideas behind critical race theory that pushes the wicked claims that people with white skin are inherently evil and racist oppressors?  The military, where our troops fight side by side with men and women of all races and ethnicities, have each other’s backs in time of danger.

These men form emotional bonds that last a lifetime in many cases and consider their fellow soldiers their brothers.  Are there racists in the services, without a doubt, but in today’s world, soldiers who I have seen interviewed on television recently have denied that this is a problem.  With all of the dangers from hostile forces around the globe, the armed services should be focused on protecting America and not causing strife, resentment and inventing racist propaganda to alienate and divide our soldiers.

Equity sounds like such a nice word, but it is not the same as equality.  It means that we all end up with the same result in life no matter how smart we are, how hard we work or how strong our qualifications are.  It is based in the context of today on your race.

With equality, we all have the same opportunity to succeed at the start but with equity your race determines who is given the advantage.
President Biden demonstrated a perfect example of this recently, when he said that Black farmers would be eligible for post-Covid financial assistance from the federal government and whites need not apply no matter how much they needed help.  A federal judge put a stop on this action as it is blatantly racist and discriminatory and against the law.

Equity is being practiced by Harvard when it comes to admissions. Whites and Asians are discriminated against in the name of equity.

These twisted thinkers have even labeled math as racist. Fox News reported the Oregon Department of Education recently encouraged teachers to register for training that encourages “ethnomathematics” and argues, among other things, that white supremacy manifests itself in the focus on finding the right answer.

There is a toolkit that middle-school teachers are encouraged to make use of for “dismantling racism in mathematics,” Fox said.

Minorities are not less endowed, they are blessed with equal brain power but many live in disadvantaged environments.  They need tutoring not
lowering of standards. California is another state that is “reimagining math.”

Wake up, Americans. The destruction of your country is in full swing by the radical left and it is up to you to end the insanity.
