Readers Write: Debunking pro-Trump letter writer’s claims

The Island Now

A letter to your newspaper, “Biden’s policies non-normal,” predicts that Biden and his radical left policies will tear the country apart and he doesn’t care about the country the way Trump did with his “America first” approach. The letter goes on, saying that Biden’s first 100 days were the worst of any president. For instance, the immigration problems with the southern border is catastrophic, not only costing the taxpayers great deals of money but “allowing Covid positive illegals to run all around the country at will.”

It is also pointed out that the Democrats desire to expand voting rights “removes every safety tool that was ever enacted to secure honesty in voting.” Then there’s the provision of the ERA that would force physicians, nurses and other health professionals to take part in medical procedures such as abortion that go against their religious beliefs. Supporting such, in Tennessee they’re proposing a bill that would grant biological fathers veto power over abortion, with no exception for rape or incest. Under the bill, a judge would be able to grant the petition as long as the petitioner proves he’s the biological father of an unborn child and there is a “reasonable possibility” the woman would seek abortion. Even a rapist would have that veto power. Thus, by the writer’s logical reasoning, women’s rights would be protected.

The writer is disturbed by the anti-white propaganda by the largest group of racists in the world and goes on to state that “they live in the greatest country in the world and can’t see the truth behind their twisted ideology.” Plus there’s so much more that Biden proposes like raising taxes that would cause prices to go up and doing away with the filibuster which would destroy the Senate.

These are basically the points the writer makes that supports the charge that Biden’s policies are non-normal.

Regarding those charges, let me close with a quote from Albert Einstein, the genius, about human stupidity. He said: “The ruling of the dumb people can’t be overcome because there are so many of them. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity.”

At times, letters published by your great newspaper prove Einstein correct.
