I was saddened to learn of the recent passing of Professor Michael D’Innocenzo. It was truly an honor as a student at Hofstra University in the early 1970’s to have Mike as a professor in courses on American and New York history.
He had a love for learning and teaching that has remained with me through the decades. Reading his columns was a pleasure despite our political differences.
