Alvernia University

Lindsay Eckhoff of Williston Park spent a week of the 2019 summer break working to help others in Camden, NJ, through the school’s Alternative Break program. The program organizes weekend and week-long service and immersion trips for students to inspire and empower them to lead lives dedicated to serving the underserved, promoting peace and justice and working towards the common good. Eckhoff spent the week serving the homeless and impoverished individuals in the area.

Springfield College

Taylor Barnard of New Hyde Park has graduated with a BS in criminal justice and Elias Kokalis of Great Neck graduated with a BS in applied science exercise.

SUNY Cortland

Alexa Raffo of Williston Park has been named to the school’s dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester.

SUNY Delhi

Thomas Giannone of Manhasset graduated with a certificate in carpentry/masonry and an associate’s degree in residential construction.

SUNY Oswego

The following students have been named to the school’s president’s list for the spring 2019 semester: Rose Small of Mineola, Michael Fiala and Madison Mangogna of Great Neck. Those earning a grade point average of 3.80 or higher are named to the school’s president’s list.

The following students have been named to the school’s dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester: Shannon McLean of East Williston, Alyson Decter of Manhasset, and Alessandra Mohr of Port Washington. Students achieving a grade point average of 3.30 to 3.79 earn dean’s list honors.

University of Connecticut

The following students have been named to the school’s dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester: Kayla Sinkevitch of Albertson, Rachel Ho and Jay Korman of Great Neck, Gabrielle Farb of Greenvale, Halle Palmedo of Manhasset, Jennifer Morrone of New Hyde Park, Sana Haroon of Old Westbury, Adriana Alvez of Port Washington, Bijan Aime and Rebekah Berger of Roslyn. Students named to the dean’s list must be registered for at least 12 credits calculable for grade points, receive no grade below “C,” including the actual letter grade awarded in any course under the Pass/Fail option, earn at least 3.0 times as many grade points as the number of calculable credits recorded by the Registrar, and be in at least the upper quartile of their school or college.

Washington and Lee University

John Broderick of Manhasset graduated magna cum laude with a BA in mathematics and business administration and Anton Livshin of Port Washington graduated with a BS in neuroscience.

Wheaton College

Joseph Hur of Roslyn was named to the school’s dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester. To earn dean’s list honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher.
