The Greater Roslyn Chamber of Commerce pulled off quite a coup last Thursday when it live-streamed the very popular Beatles Band Liverpool Shuffle for free to Roslyn area residents.

Normally the Summer Concert would have taken place at Gerry Park, but the uncertainty of approval for an outside show back in March led to the virtual concert, and what a success It was!

Several hundred viewers saw the Liverpool Shuffle run through a fine set that included “Twist & Shout,” “All My Loving,” “A Hard’s Day Night,” “Revolution,” “Ticket to Ride” and dozens of other classics.

The Liverpool Shuffle consists of Joe Refano vocals and guitar, Jamie Bateman, vocals and guitars, Andrew Lubman, a sweet-sounding vocalist who plays bass, and Mike Naimoli on drums, who did an excellent job subbing for Brian James with 48 hours notice.

The concert was held at the elegant Elite Studios in West Babylon, which has worked with Twisted Sister, Lita Ford and Howard Jones among other notable performers.

Streaming was provided by yourshow.live, one of Long Island’s premier streaming services. If you missed it, you will have the opportunity to see the concert free via archives.

The concert was a first step for the Greater Roslyn Chamber of Commerce’s expansion to implement their goal of being the voice of  Roslyn area businesses.

Several new members have been added to their Board of Directors, The next big event will be their annual meeting held in October with full membership in attendance and nominations for Chamber officers, a Halloween promotion, a Holiday party and a mother/son, father/daughter miniature golf tournament in the Spring.
