COVID-19 antigen testing will be made available for members of the Roslyn community beginning this weekend at Roslyn High School, according to a Feb. 4 email from district Superintendent Allison Brown.
“We are pleased to announce that beginning this weekend, COVID-19 rapid antigen testing will be made available to the members of our Roslyn community,” Brown wrote. “Testing will take place next to the trailer situated in the back of the student parking lot at Roslyn High School.”
Brown added that testing will be administered by the New Hyde Park-based Advanced Cardiovascular Diagnostics, which is providing the service for no cost to the district.
“As a courtesy to our community, weekend testing will be made available as necessary for the remainder of the school year,” Brown wrote. “Going forward, we anticipate testing to be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.”
A listing of dates and times will be updated regularly on the homepage of the district’s website, she said.
“I hope you take advantage of this service and continue to be healthy and safe,” Brown said.
Testing is recommended for those who are experiencing fevers, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Advanced Cardiovascular Diagnostics accepts all types of insurance, and anyone without insurance will be covered under the CARES Act.
Appointments can currently be booked for Saturday, Feb. 6, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interested parties can schedule an appointment at the web address https://roslyn26.youcanbook.me/, which will be updated in the following weeks as more appointments are made available.
