Roslyn Heights store robbed in daylight

Nassau County police are looking for two suspects in connection with a Roslyn Heights store robbery Monday morning.

At 10:23 a.m. on Monday, two men with a black handgun entered the Verizon store at 207 Mineola Ave. and ordered the 20-year-old store manager into the back office to open the safe. After the manager complied, the men grabbed several cellphones as well as an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

The store manager was unharmed.

One suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 25 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He was described as wearing gray sweatpants, black sneakers and a gray ski mask during the robbery. The second suspect is also described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. He was described as wearing gray sweatpants, a blue hooded sweatshirt and a gray ski mask.
