Candidates for school board elections in the Roslyn, Mineola, North Shore, Herricks and East Williston school districts have been named.

In the Roslyn district, school board President Meryl Waxman Ben-Levy and Vice President Clifford Saffron are running unopposed. Similarly, in Mineola, incumbents Patrick Talty and Dr. Margaret Ballantyne-Mannion are running unopposed.

At the North Shore school district based in Glen Cove, two seats are up for election, with three candidates in the running. Incumbent Richard Galati is being challenged by Andrea Macari and Robert Mazzella, while Trustee Joanna Commander is not seeking another term.

Two school board seats are up for election in Herricks, with Tarantej S. Arora running against incumbent James Gounaris and Bhajan S. Ratra running against incumbent Henry R. Zanetti.

In the East Williston school district, incumbent Mark Kamberg is running for re-election, with Raymond Del Maestro opposing him.  With Trustee Alan Littman’s resignation in March, the candidate who fills his seat will take the rest of his term, which spans two years. Tasneem Meghi is running unopposed for the seat.

All elections will take place on June 9, the same date as budget votes.
