Four men allegedly broke into a Roslyn Heights home, assaulted a female resident and stole jewelry and cash early Saturday morning, Nassau County police said.

At 12:40 a.m., the suspects entered the home on Sherwood Lane through a side door, where they encountered a 63-year-old woman and demanded she give them money, police said.

One of the suspects, who wore a red jacket, threatened the victim while another held her down and ripped a gold chain from her neck, police said.

One of the other suspects removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim’s purse, police said.

The four suspects, all described as African-American men, fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim’s husband, 66, was sleeping in a different part of the home at the time of the incident, police said. No injuries were reported.
