A Roslyn Heights man was killed Tuesday in eastern Suffolk County after he was trapped between his tractor trailer and a parked car, Suffolk County police said.

Bruce Barth, 72, of Roslyn Heights, was delivering dirt to 33 Moriches Ave. in East Moriches, but when he exited his 2005 Peterbilt tractor trailer, the vehicle began rolling and hit Barth around 11:40 a.m.

The tractor trailer trapped Barth between it and a parked car, police said, and he was pronounced dead at Brookhaven Memorial Medical Center in East Patchogue.

The motor carrier safety section has since checked the vehicle, police said.

The accident is under investigation, and police are asking anyone with information to call 631-852-8752.
