Roslyn Social, a new restaurant in the Village of Roslyn created by the team behind Roslyn Height’s 388, had a celebratory opening Monday at its location, formerly home to MP Taverna.
The space located at 1363 Old Northern Blvd. has a central bar and outdoor rooftop, with TVs on the main floor broadcasting sports. The menu is stocked with salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese, and burgers.
Appetizers from $9 to $18 range from avocado toast to “loaded tater tots” with two cheeses, pickled jalapeno, bacon and spicy mayonnaise.
A fried chicken sandwich is $14 while a prime steak sandwich with caramelized onion and horseradish sauce is $20.
The $35 “Bigtime Tommie” burger is listed as including double prime patties, double cheese, double bacon and double glazed donut.
Owner Nicholas Luisi declined to comment.
On Tuesday, the Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees approved an entertainment license for the property, allowing it to have music playing on the rooftop until 11 p.m. In the future, it will host parties with live music, an owner said at the meeting.
The owners had applied for a dancing license but since there will not be a dance floor, the board did not grant one.
The restaurant opens daily at 11:30 a.m.
