Enjoy a Purim Shpiel for adults, compliments of Temple Sinai of Roslyn, at 7:30 p.m. March 3.
This year’s theme is “Purim through the Decades: From Cole Porter to Coldplay.”
Costumes are encouraged. There will be live music, light dinner and drinks.
Suggested contribution for non-members is $18.
The following day, Temple Sinai of Roslyn hosts their Purim Carnival from 10 a.m. to noon on March 4.
Come dressed in your best Purim costume and join us for carnival games, a bubble show, a bounce house, raffles and prizes, face painting, a retelling of the Purim story and much more. Open to the community.
Admission $15 per child, which includes unlimited games and activities.
Join Temple Sinai of Roslyn at 7:30 p.m. on March 8 for “Do Not Stand Idly By” featuring Rabbi Joel Mosbacher, Rabbi of Temple Shaaray Tefila in New York City.
He will be speaking about gun violence prevention, a cause close to his heart since he lost his own father to gun violence in 1999. This program is presented in participation with Long Island Congregations, Associations, and Neighborhoods, Metro IAF and Partners in Caring.
Licensed clinical social worker Michelle Laser, director of social services, and Partners in Caring, a social service arm of partner synagogues and Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center, will be on hand to provide clinical social work support and guidance.
The event is free and open to the community.
