Four trustee seats, a mayoral position and a village justice post are up for grabs in Port Washington’s June 15 village elections.
Incumbent Sands Point Trustee Jeff Moslow is seeking re-election, and village resident Elena Karabatos is looking to replace Trustee Katharine Ullman, who is not running for another term. Both Karabatos and Moslow are unopposed.
For the first time in 30 years, Mayor Edward Adler will not be on the ballot, with Trustee Peter Foreman as the lone candidate seeking the seat.
Residents can vote on June 15 at Village Hall, 26 Tibbits Lane, from noon to 9 p.m.
In Manorhaven, two trustee positions and a village justice office are contested. Incumbent Trustees Rita De Lucia and John Popeleski are being challenged by Vincent Costa and John DiLeo Jr.
DiLeo previously served as a trustee and as mayor before losing his seat to former Mayor Giovanna Giunta in 2012. He currently sits on the village’s Board of Zoning Appeals.
James Roman, who was appointed village justice in April following the resignation of Peter Gallanter, is being challenged by attorney Christian Alfaya.
Residents can vote on June 15 at Village Hall, 33 Manorhaven Blvd., from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
