On May 30, two teams from New Hyde Park Memorial High School traveled to Columbia University to compete in the Junior Achievement Business Plan Competition semifinals. The groups competed against 19 stellar teams representing entries from New York City, the surrounding boroughs and Long Island. Team Nubis was selected to advance to the final round on June 5 in New York City. Team Nubis developed an innovative smart water bottle with a GPS tracking system.
