Floral Park Memorial High School’s Student Council in conjunction with the social studies department concluded the annual Island Harvest Holiday Food Drive on Dec. 14.

The Floral Park community, faculty, staff and student body, once again rallied behind this worthy cause by donating more than 2,000 pounds of food and nearly $500 through the Ugly Sweater Day fundraiser. Mrs. Dierlam’s class earned the distinction of donating the most non-perishable food items, while Ms. Ochoa’s class raised the most money. Dozens of students assisted in organizing the food for pick-up. This successful event was truly a team effort.
