Silverstein Hebrew Academy’s, or SHA, second-grade students have been hard at work exercising their language and communication skills.

Students in Morah Sarahle Allouch-Gryn’s class have been using the program “iTaLAM,” a new digital Hebrew and Jewish heritage curriculum, to gain confidence in speaking Ivrit and practice their Hebrew language skills in speaking, writing, and reading within the school’s safe and nurturing learning environment.

The Ivrit web-based program is integrated with the material in the classroom and differentiates the learning based on the student’s Hebrew speaking level. Students use this program on their Chromebooks within the integrated technology classroom.

SHA believes that when learning is differentiated and students learn through a variety of modules and intelligence, it makes the perfect environment for learning and growth.

SHA has created a comfortable learning environment where students are supported by positive reinforcement and encouragement.
