College students recognized for academic excellence

Danielle Villano of Port Washington has been named to the fall 2017 Dean’s List at Stonehill College. Villano is majoring in management and is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Lauren Behan of Mineola was recently named to the President’s List at The State University of New York at Potsdam. Behan, whose major is music education, was among 882 SUNY Potsdam students who were honored for academic excellence in the fall 2017 semester. To be on the President’s List, each student must complete 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Christopher Theriot of Mineola was named to the SUNY Potsdam Dean’s List. Theriot, whose major is business administration, was among 351 students wh were honored for academic excellence in the fall 2017 semester. To be on Dean’s List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of between 3.25 and 3.49 in the given semester.

Iglika Vatchinska of Williston Park was recognized for outstanding academic achievement at SUNY Canton during the fall 2017 semester. Vatchinska is a legal studies major. The Dean’s List recognizes full-time students who have earned a grade point average between 3.25 and 3.74. 

Claudia Hanover, Jessica Hyland, and Astrid Phillipson of Port Washington were named to the Dean’s List at Lehigh University for the fall 2017 semester. This status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while completing at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

Lucas Friedman, Lexi Katz, and Hannah Rosen of Port Washington were named to the Bucknell University Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2017 semester. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive Dean’s List recognition.

KelliAnn Forero of Mineola has been named to the fall 2017 Dean’s List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for Dean’s List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.
