Programs currently airing on Great Neck Public Schools Television (GNPS/TV) are Faculty Recital 2019, North High Winter Concert, South Middle Spotlight, North Middle Spotlight, and South High Winter Concert II.

GNPS/TV programs are available on-demand, 24/7, on the school district website, www.greatneck.k12.ny.us/tv. Programs can also be viewed in the incorporated villages of Great Neck on Optimum Channel 75 and on Verizon Fios Channel 32. Airing times in program descriptions below are for Optimum and Verizon Fios viewing.

Faculty Recital 2019

The Faculty Recital 2019 features music performances by the talented staff of Great Neck Public Schools. Faculty members perform vocal and instrumental pieces as soloists or in groups. Performances include a variety of classical pieces, as well as selections from Broadway, opera, and classic rock genres.

Faculty Recital 2019 view times are 8 a.m., 3 p.m. and 10 p.m.

North High Winter Concert

North High Winter Concert features performances by the Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Blazer Beats and varsity a cappella groups, Symphonic Band, and Symphony Orchestra from the Winter Concert on Dec. 17. The concert was under the direction of Dr. Pamela Levy, department chair of fine and performing arts/vocal music teacher, and Joseph Rutkowski, instrumental music teacher.

North High Winter Concert view times are 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

South Middle Spotlight

South Middle Spotlight takes a look back at some of the segments that originally aired on HTV (Homeroom Television), the live, daily, morning-news show broadcast to South Middle’s students and staff. These segments showcase events at South Middle, including the grand opening of the new school library, book fair, Relay for Life fundraiser at Applebee’s, and more.

South Middle Spotlight airs at 12 and 7 p.m.

North Middle Spotlight

North Middle Spotlight features a variety of activities that have taken place at North Middle this school year, including the first day of school, club fair, Halloween fun, highlights from the One Acts, and more.

North Middle Spotlight airs at 12:30 and 7:30 p.m.

South High Winter Concert II

South High Winter Concert II features performances by the Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, Chamber String Orchestra, Chamber Symphony Orchestra, and small vocal ensembles from the Winter Concert on Dec. 19. The concert was under the direction of Michael Schwartz, performing arts department head/instrumental music teacher, and Dr. Janine Robinson, the vocal music teacher.

South High Winter Concert II view times are 1 and 8 p.m.

GNPS/TV Programming

GNPS/TV programming reflects the offerings of the Great Neck Public Schools and the achievements of its students and staff. Programs are student-produced.
