Elmont students succeed at NYSSEF

Elmont Memorial High School science research students participated in the Intel-affiliated New York State Science and Engineering Fair, where more than 300 students presented their research to academic judges for the opportunity to represent New York State at the 2019 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Arizona in May.

Congratulations to the following award-winning students:

Microbiology – Michael Lawes (first place)

Materials Science – Iyinoluwa Tugbobo (second place)

Physics – Vanessa Louis (third place)

Earth and Environmental Sciences – Lauren Munn (third place)

Microbiology – Marvia Pressoir (third place)

Michael and Iyinoluwa qualified to represent New York State at the international fair in Phoenix.
