Every day, hospitals are busy providing care, but sometimes a Band-Aid isn’t all that is needed. Members of the Kindness Club at Munsey Park School in Manhasset understand this and created baskets to support Long Island area hospitals through Code Lavendera nationwide program designed to provide emotional support to and relieve stress for hospital workers, patients and family members.

Baskets donated through Code Lavender serve as an emotional pick-me-up and are filled with messages of hope and healing. “You had a WHOPPER of a day,” is one such message that accompanied the little chocolate treats in one of the baskets put together by Munsey Park.

Jennifer Lippmann, a physician’s assistant with Glen Cove Hospital’s ICU, delivered the baskets on behalf of Munsey Park’s Kindness Club.
