At the Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education meeting on Dec. 6, the Board approved a resolution to expand the GNPS election districts from two voting locations to a total of four. This change is effective immediately and applies to all future GNPS annual and special elections.

The Board of Education discussed expanding the number of polling sites after residents experienced long lines and wait times to cast their ballots at the district budget and bond vote last May.

“We encourage all our residents to vote, and we want to make the process as convenient as possible,” explains Board President Barbara Berkowitz.
