The Great Neck Public Schools will be showcasing its Community Education classes at an open house from Monday, Oct. 1 to Friday, Oct. 5 at 30 Cumberland Ave in Great Neck.
Attendees are welcome to attend classes at no cost, meet the instructors, tour the facilities and learn about what the program has to offer.
Open House Week offers a chance to join in fitness classes like Mindful Meditation, Aerobics, Zumba, Yoga, Tai Chi, Body Workout, Movement for those with Parkinson’s, and more. Dance classes include Jazz, Ballet, Creative and Classical Dance, or Line Dance.
Among the center’s art classes are Pottery, Handweaving, Stone Sculpting, Painting, Drawing, Pastels, Printmaking, or Jewelry Making.
Community Education also offers foreign language courses in French, Hebrew, Italian, and Spanish, as well as writing classes, book groups and singing courses.
Some new classes are The Larger-Than-Life Presidency of Teddy Roosevelt, Shakespearean Comedies, and Charity Knitting in the Round.

Community Ed classes meet at the Cumberland Adult Center, 30 Cumberland Ave., Great Neck.
