H. Frank Carey High School student Brianna Bonano recently received one of three Juror’s Awards for her artwork, “Drowning,” which was on display in the “Advanced Visions 16” exhibit at LIU Post.

The artistic creations of more than 60 Advanced Placement art students from 30 different Long Island high schools received special recognition in an awards ceremony at the university on Jan. 22.

Advanced Placement teachers from each high school are allowed to send just one work to the exhibition. The winners are selected by a jury based on how well they use concept, form, and method in their creations.
