Herricks Middle School welcomed guest speaker Stephen Hill for an inspiring presentation on March 2. Hill addressed seventh and eighth graders as he shared his experiences in battling addiction.
A former high school athlete, Hill’s decade-long struggle with drug use ended in 2012. He now shares his story and recovery journey with students throughout New York and neighboring states, encouraging the prevention of substance abuse and vaping.
This event is one of the many ways that the Herricks Public Schools strive to direct students towards positive choices and lifestyles.
