Subject to approval of grant funding by New York State, residents of New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District with an eligible child of age 4 by Dec. 1, 2019, may apply for free half-day pre-kindergarten classes for 2019 – 2020 school year. Applications are available on our website www.nhp-gcp.org. Application forms must be received no later than January 31, 2019. Selection will be done by lottery on February 8, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., in the Board Room at 1950 Hillside Ave., New Hyde Park.
Resident children of the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District who will turn five years old by December 1, 2019, are eligible for kindergarten in September 2019. Call the district office now at (516) 434-2306 before December 21, 2018, to make an appointment to register your child based on your home school. Registration dates are listed below:
Hillside Grade School: January 7 – 11, 2019
NHP Road School: January 14 – 18, 2019
Manor Oaks School – January 22 – 25, 2019
Garden City Park School – January 28 – 31, 2019
