The North High School A Cappella Choir was featured during a performance by the Yale Whiffenpoofs at the Gold Coast Arts Center on April 14. The performance was arranged by the family of Mohit Sani, a North High alumnus and current Yale senior, who returned to his hometown for this concert as a member of the Whiffenpoofs.

The North High A Capella Choir sang three songs during the performance, and they were joined on stage by the Whiffenpoofs to perform the song, “I’ll Be Seeing You.” The high school students rehearsed with the Whiffenpoofs just before the performance at the Gold Coast Arts Center, and choir members were delighted to share the stage with this renowned group.

Founded in 1909, the Yale Whiffenpoofs is one of the oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella groups in the world. The group is comprised of rising Yale seniors who are selected for this prestigious performing group.

The A Cappella Choir, now in its second year at North High, is under the direction of Pamela Levy, department head of fine and performing arts/director of vocal music.
