North High School will present the play “Rumors” from Wednesday, Feb. 5, through Friday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 8 at 8:00 p.m. All performances will take place in the North High School auditorium, 35 Polo Rd.

Rumors is Neil Simon’s first farce and one of his most celebrated comedies. The story takes place during the tenth-anniversary dinner-party of New York’s Deputy Mayor and his wife. Things go awry from the start—the host “accidentally” shoots himself in the earlobe and his wife is missing, as is the kitchen staff. As the guests arrive, the party continues with confusion and miscommunication. By the evening’s end, all are engaged in a cover-up that no one really understands.

All tickets are $10. For additional information and to purchase tickets, call 516-441-4743 or contact Ilana Meredith Schikler, Junior Players Theatre Director, at ischikler@greatneck.k12.ny.us. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
