North Middle School winter concert on Dec. 19

North Middle School’s Grade 7–8 Winter Concert will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m., in the Daniel J. Tomaselli Auditorium, 77 Polo Road. The concert is free and the public is invited to attend.

Performing groups include the Chorus, Concert Band, and String Orchestra. All three performing groups feature musicians in grades 7 and 8.

The Chorus will perform “Carol of the Snow,” “Journey in Peace,” and a choral medley from Disney’s Frozen. The Concert Band will play “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” “Nutcracker Swing,” and the Radetzky March. The String Orchestra will perform “Spin, Dreidel, Spin (Sivivon, Sov, Sov, Sov),” Theme from Canon in D, and the Hallelujah Chorus.

To close the show, the Chorus will join the instrumental groups on the stage to perform “On With the Snow.”

The Concert Band and String Orchestra are under the direction of Matthew Trinkwald, music department head. The Chorus is under the direction of Arielle Murdocco.
