Herricks High School announced their 2018-2019 Outstanding Physical Education Students, Nicholas Capelle and Liana Marino. They were honored at the Nassau Zone of The New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance’s annual awards dinner ceremony on Dec. 3 in Woodbury.
NYS AHPERD recognized one senior young woman and one senior young man from each Nassau County High School. Those selected met a variety of criteria, including exhibiting a physically active lifestyle, demonstrating responsible behavior and good sportsmanship, serving as a positive influence on peers, upholding a healthy lifestyle, earning excellent achievement in physical education class and attaining a high level of fitness on a test.
