John Lewis Childs School is participating in Pennies for Patients, from March 9-18. Students are being encouraged to collect spare change and donations to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

In order to help students get involved, the school hosted fun, dress-up activities during the week of March 9, such as Pajamas for Pennies on Monday, Neon for Nickels on Tuesday, Denim for Dimes on Wednesday, Quarter “Backwards” Day on Thursday and Team Green on Friday.

Students are able to win prizes by collecting $5 or $15 in their personal collection boxes. A grade-wide award will also be granted to the grade that raises the most money.

The fundraiser is being presented by the school’s Student Council, with co-advisers Kelly Higgins and Jessica Palermo.
