On Friday, Oct. 18 Floral Park Memorial High School celebrated Pink Out Day, which is when all students, faculty, and staff dress up in pink in order to raise awareness for breast cancer research. It is a way for the school community to show their support and stand united in the fight against breast cancer. Faculty and staff contributed to the fundraiser by dressing down in pink and donating $5 to the cause, while students were asked to make any donations they could. More than $300 was raised from this event alone to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
