The Roslyn High School Varsity Girls’ tennis team held a Mixed Up Doubles tournament on Nov. 2 in honor of breast cancer awareness month. Fifteen teams competed in this event, which helped to raise money and awareness. Members of the Roslyn Middle School girls’ tennis team and all four Roslyn High School teams competed as well as coaches Brian Hoffner and Kerri Jannotte-Hinkley.

The event was coordinated by senior Rena Zervakos and this year’s winners were varsity players Sarah Faber and Angelina Remnek.

“I had an amazing four years as part of the Roslyn tennis program, and I’m proud to be able to give back to the community by helping to organize this tennis event to benefit breast cancer research,” said Zervakos. “We were able raise close to $1,000 for a great cause. I’d like to thank my teammates and coaches for participating and helping in this event.”
