Herricks High School senior and Class of 2019 salutatorian Sahith Vadada has been recognized as a Regional Finalist in the nationwide Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
He is among only 250 students to have achieved this honor out of more than 200,000 applicants and 1,800 Semifinalists. Reaching this level distinguishes Sahith as an extraordinary leader and scholar in Herricks and the community.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation celebrates and empowers visionary leaders and scholars who are refreshing the world. Sahith will have a 20-minute interview with the Regional Interview Committee at Liberty Coca-Cola Center. Based on the regional interview and the materials previously submitted, 150 Coca-Cola Scholars will be designated and invited to attend Scholars Weekend in Atlanta in April to receive a $20,000 award to be used at an accredited U.S. college or university of their choice.
