Sewanhaka Robotics Club wins regional qualifier

Sewanhaka Central High School District’s Robotics Club competed at the School-Business Partnership of Long Island/Long Island First Tech Challenge Robotics Qualifier at Nassau Community College on Jan. 12.

The students finished the day as members of the first-place alliance and were recognized with the first-place Think Award, the second-place Design and Inspire award and the third-place Innovate and Motivate award.

Based on its excellent performance, the club qualified for the Long Island regional championships to be held at Syosset High School on March 9. Sewanhaka High School will be hosting two upcoming robotics qualifiers on Feb. 9-10. Attendance at these events is free and is open to the public.
