Sewanhaka High School’s First Lego League team members qualified for the Long Island championship on March 3 at Longwood High School.
The school congratulated Christopher Orlando, team captain, and Rania Khan, who was the project lead on the topic of growing plants for food in space. Rania’s scale model was built from Legos and littleBits. Kudos go out also to Krystal Caballes, building team lead, and Sean Andrade, Farhaan Kahn, Shahid Khan, Maya Singh, Aaron Varughese and Tristan Yarna. The team’s coaches are teachers Dan Labbato and Diane Walters.
