Sewanhaka’s McLees earns NYS Athletic Administrator Award

Sewanhaka Central High School District’s CMAA Athletic Director Matt McLees has been awarded the New York State Athletic Administrators Association’s Athletic Administrator award.

This award is presented to an administrator who has made an outstanding contribution to athletics in Section VIII. Mr. McLees has proven his devotion and idealism to athletics through the NYSAAA and has demonstrated leadership, influence and promotion of athletics in a positive manner during his 29 years as a teacher, coach, mentor and administrator.

In addition to his responsibilities as director of athletics for the district, Mr. McLees is the president of Nassau County Public High School Athletic Association Section VIII and Nassau County Section VIII Football Coordinator. He is also a member of the following committees: Nassau County Public High School Athletic Association Executive Committee, Nassau County Section VIII Senior High School Athletic Council, Nassau County Section VIII Sportsmanship Committee and Nassau County Section VIII Safety Committee.

Mr. McLees has earned the respect and admiration of his peers in every aspect of his career. The Sewanhaka Central School District congratulates him on this well-deserved honor.
