Herricks High School hosted its annual Science Research Symposium, on May 30 in the building’s gymnasium. It marked the second year that the science department has provided this opportunity to highlight the outstanding, advanced work that students have been conducting.

Almost 100 Science Research students in grades 9-12 showcased their projects through poster board displays and senior Eish Maheshwari, Regeneron STS finalist and the Class of 2019 valedictorian, addressed attendees. Members of the Herricks Board of Education and District Administration, building supervisors, teachers, parents, and science research alumni viewed the participants’ studies and findings

It was a proud evening of sharing and celebration, hosted by Science Research Coordinator, Renee’ Barcia and Science Chairperson Karen Hughes.
