Success for Elmont Memorial’s Model UN

At the recent international Princeton Model United Nations Conference, students from Elmont Memorial High School’s Model United Nations program represented the nation of Afghanistan and developed resolutions for complex issues such as cybersecurity, mental health initiatives and food security. Under the leadership of Head Delegate Munahil Sultana, faculty adviser Nkenge Gilliam and chaperone Phillip Cabrera, the delegation secured five committee awards, including an Outstanding Delegate Award in the Disarmament and International Security Committee.
