Wheatley student-athlete Tiffany Bernot commits to SUNY Albany

Wheatley student-athelte Tiffany Bernot has committed and signed her National Letter of Intent to be a member of The SUNY at Albany women’s soccer team, in the America East Conference, as well as continue her academic studies at the University.

Tiffany Bernot began playing varsity soccer in eighth grade for the Wheatley Wildcats as a starting midfielder, and made an immediate impact. She was named captain in her junior year and awarded All-Class, All-Conference, All-County, and Playoff MVP honors throughout her high school career. She was a major contributor to Wheatley’s 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 Conference and Nassau County Championship girls soccer teams, and even led the Wildcats into the NY State semifinals in 2016. Tiffany was voted Newsday’s Top 50 High School Player to watch, MSG Varsity Playoff Player of the Game, and Verizon Fios Playoff MVP of the County Championships.

Outside of Wheatley, Tiffany has worked hard to master the game of futsal. She is a three-time member of the United States National Futsal team, training in Kansas and playing in international play in Canada, captaining in Costa Rica, and Colombia. Tiffany has also played in the NPL league, the ECNL league, and currently plays for the FC Fury NY DA team, coached by Paul Riley.

Not only has Tiffany had many accomplishments on the field, but off the field as well. At Wheatley, she has taken honors and AP classes, and is a member of both the National Honor Society and Foreign Language Honor Society. She also has extensive community service and volunteer experience.
