Schools from all over Nassau County participated in the Trivia Challenge event and raised significant funds for CP Nassau. Now in its 33rd year, the Trivia Challenge event brings students with great minds and good hearts together to help raise funds to benefit the programs and services CP Nassau provides for over 1,500 children and adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.
We are proud to say that this is a very successful fundraiser for CP Nassau thanks to the students, parents, teachers and administrators who support us! The Trivia Challenge event is a fundraising event for students throughout Nassau County in grades 3 – 12. Students are grouped in teams of 4 at their school to take the 100-question test together provided by CP Nassau and are sponsored by asking family and friends for a donation.
The Championship round of Trivia Challenge was held in 2019 on February 25 – 28. Parents, siblings, fellow classmates, teachers and administrators attended the event to cheer school’s finalists to success for the championship trophy cup. Two teams of St. Aidan School students competed in the challenge. Olivia Breglio, CJ Galanga, CJ Devaney and Beatrice Denny competed in the 5th/6th grade category. Representing St. Aidan in the 7th/8th grade category were Christina Cooke, John Ehrmann, Nicholas Whitlock and Susanna Denny.
We are grateful to all for the dedication and support shown to CP Nassau! Fran Selvaggio, Trivia Challenge Coordinator, mentioned that all the students who participated were winners because of their efforts in raising funds and awareness for CP Nassau. In addition, Fran expressed thanks on behalf of CP Nassau to all the teachers and families who were integral to the success of the event! We look forward to seeing you next year!
