Three freshmen from Mineola High School have been working on their Girl Scouts’ Silver Awards by creating a “Stairway to Multiplication” at the district’s Jackson Avenue School.

Sarah DeSena, Grace Faley and Deanna Polosino from Senior Troop 1805 have been working on the project since the summer. The trio have been utilizing the high school’s Fab Lab in their spare time to create vinyl multiplication stickers and then heading to Jackson Avenue to put them on the school’s stairways. They thought it was a different idea that would give back to their school district and make multiplication more fun for the district’s third- and fourth-grade students.
