On March 4, the Art League of Long Island hosted its 11th annual Go APE artist reception to celebrate exceptional artwork of Advanced Placement art students from Nassau and Suffolk counties. The reception was well attended by students, parents, art educators, administrators and community members.

Sewanhaka High School seniors Meghan Geyer and Justin Kanjirakattu and juniors Alina Adan and Kiana Cano from Mrs. Filippone’s Advanced Placement 2D Design Art class had their remarkable artworks on display. Winners in various categories were chosen by a prominent art educator and received a Go APE certificate. Kiana received an honorable mention for her remarkable artwork. The Sewanhaka High School Art Department is once again very proud of its students’ artistic accomplishments.
