Softball game for Leukemia

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth attended the Bevin Kalathil Varughese Memorial Foundation softball game on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Eisenhower Park. 
The foundation is in honor of Bevin Varughese, who died after a battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2008 at the age of 28 due to an infection while being treated for Leukemia, according to a press release from the Town of North Hempstead.   It was created to continue Bevin’s mission to fight against leukemia and raise awareness. 
Bosworth presented a proclamation to Kalathil Varughese, Bevin’s father, in recognition of the foundation’s hard work to raise awareness and raise funds for Leukemia.
